One, Two, Three... The Best of Pole

The Berlin-based label ~scape has just reissued three albums by the pioneer of electronic music Stefan Betke, better known as Pole. The first album was released almost ten years ago. On it, Pole, with the help of a broken filter setup, assembled a collage of the most unexpected dub, bass, and minimal sounds. And despite the passing of a lot of time, Stefan's sound remains just as unique, relevant, and has carved out its niche among classic electronic music. Pole's influence can be traced on the modern club scene, for example, recent works by Villalobos and Shackleton are deeply infused with experiments with dub, minimal, and dubstep.
