Raz Ohara at Mario's Birthday
Клубные российские · 21.02.2008
Raz Ohara is one of the best vocalists on the modern electronic scene. His live performances are not just a set of rhythms and sounds coming from 'the man behind the laptop.' This is a vibrant and truly 'live' performance of an artist.
Having recently become a resident of the famous label Get Physical, on January 18, 2008, Raz Ohara released an album of his new project Raz Ohara & the Odd Orchestra. Besides this, Raz Ohara is the voice and keyboardist of the Apparat project (B-Pitch Control), collaborating with the iconic Berlin figure Ellen Alien. But while these two projects represent the romantic and artistic sides of Raz Ohara, his solo club performances are a true explosive concert where he uses his unique voice over techno rhythms.
Once, his publisher from the Kitty-Yo label suggested trying to collaborate with a young and promising techno artist—Alexander Kowalski. This led to Raz Ohara's inclusion in the electronic dance scene. Together with Kowalski, they released two hit singles—'All I Got To Know' and 'Hot Spot'—and then toured extensively together. Gradually, Raz Ohara began performing more and more solo as a techno musician, working with only a microphone and a drum machine.
He has always been interested in a wide range of music. The album 'Raz Ohara and the Odd Orchestra,' recorded in collaboration with a very interesting producer named Doerell, can rightfully be called the first such beautiful and sensual release for the usually dance-focused label Get Physical. Raz Ohara continues to surprise audiences worldwide with his ability not only to perform fantastic ambient ballads but to be a true techno guru on the dance floor.
Moscow remembers Raz Ohara's legendary performance at the still-under-construction Gaudi club on February 28, 2004. True techno under the vaults of the elevator, which had not yet transformed into the Gaudi club. Alexander Kowalski & Raz Ohara, Heiko Laux, Fish, Magic B, Mike Spirit, Spy.der, Volodya Trapeznikov, Kubikov, Meshkov, etc. According to the club community, this was one of the best techno parties in the entire history of domestic culture. Alex Kowalski and Heiko Laux subsequently performed several times in Moscow, and four years later, it was Raz Ohara's turn for a spectacular solo return.
One of the most anticipated performances will take place on February 23 at the Gorod club. Also, on this night, one of the club's residents and the Now & Wow project - Mario will celebrate his birthday, with sets performed by the elite of the domestic techno and house movement – Volodya Trapeznikov, Mike Spirit, Magic B, Helga, and others. And, of course, all this will take place under the legendary Now&Wow club sessions brand!
