The history of this project started several years ago, when 30-year-old New York DJ Alex Alicea joined forces with Jorge Jaramillo, also known as DJ Lace. The duo conceived a risky project capable of combining house and industrial sounds, dirty guitar sounds, and a memorable clear beat - with elements of classic disco and spacey pop à la early David Bowie. For many, this idea would seem insane, but not for Alex, who has been obsessed with dance culture since childhood and has been DJing since the age of 14! Having achieved a unique signature sound, which was just the tip of the iceberg of future success, Jaramillo, by the end of the 90s, discovers a previously unexplored direction and plunges into house music. After meeting Alex Alicea, Jaramillo immediately realizes the obviousness that his rich experience and producer talent, extensive knowledge of house music, and passion for creativity are the perfect ingredients for future partnership and the creation of a new project. Thus, the project 'Who Da Funk' was born, which achieved grand success with its 1st single 'Shiny Disco Balls' and is preparing for us another dancefloor bomb.
