The label 'Legkie' and the restaurant 'Jagannath' present the second compilation of Russian ethno-electronic music 'Good Karma'. The East has always attracted with its bright beauty, exotic, luxurious, and mysterious culture. Just like Sinbad, Western people are enchanted by the rising sun and see a magical fairy tale. The 'Good Karma' compilations lead a series of vivid musical narratives about distant countries, exotic journeys, and wonders that the East is rich in. The compiler and author of the series of Russian compilations of ethno-electronic music 'Good Karma' is Dmitry Tikov (ex-Netslov, 'More Spokoystviya', Dr. Tikov), one of the most famous Russian electronic musicians and a great connoisseur of ethno-music. The first compilation was released on the 'Legkie' label together with the GOA restaurant in May 2004. 'Dmitry Tikov, the author and compiler of the 'Good Karma' series, says, 'The second disc is possible because the first one was successful. Listeners appreciated it and voted for it with their ruble, it was commercially successful. And it's no coincidence that we are releasing the second disc together with 'Jagannath' – the energy and atmosphere of this establishment resonate well with the music featured on the compilation.' 'It's not the first disc we're releasing,' notes the founder of the 'Jagannath' restaurant, Daman. 'When Dmitry Tikov proposed this project to us, we immediately agreed: after all, this is the kind of music that is constantly playing in our restaurant. That's why we want to distribute this culture together. 'Good Karma. Vol.2' has its own character, a positive attitude, I'm sure that people listening to this record will be charged with positive energy. And I would like there to be more good music playing.' 'Good Karma' compilations are unique musical journeys around the world, through various continents and countries,' says Dmitry Tikov, the compiler of the series. 'I can confidently say that there has never been a compilation like this before. Comparisons can be made with 'Buddha Bar', but very cautiously, because the 'Good Karma' compilation is like nothing else. Before compiling the first disc, I listened to about a dozen 'Buddha Bar' and similar compilations, they are quite monotonous. 'Good Karma' is a different story. This music will seem exotic in any country, whether in Morocco or in Tambov.' The geography, the internal space of the compilation is not limited to just Eastern exoticism; the compilation reflects musical processes from all corners of the globe, as seen from Russia. The second compilation in the series introduces enthusiasts of ethno-travel to new musical regions: it features Buryat ethnicity (track 'Middle Waves and Namgar'), Tuvan themes ('Olchey'), Indian themes, a bit of dub, and a bit of travels around the Golden Ring of Russia ('Russian golden ring dub'). This event promises to be a pleasant and stylish outdoor party. A stage will be set up on the street in front of the 'Jagannath' restaurant, so not only the presentation guests but also passersby who happen to be in the Kuznetsky Most area at that time will be able to enjoy the musical ethno-journeys. Girls in colorful saris will treat the audience with Eastern sweets and tea. But the main attraction is, of course, the music program. On that day, participants from the second compilation 'Good Karma' will take the stage on the open veranda of 'Jagannath': the group 'Dreamy Bears', 'Triangle Sun', and the ideologist and compiler of the compilation Dmitry Tikov with the Dr. Tikov project. The concert program will be concluded by DJ Nesiforov.
