Renaissance presents Nic Fanciulli Volume 2
Музыкальные зарубежные · 28.09.2006
On his latest mix 'Renaissance presents Nic Fanciulli Volume 2,' Nic Fanciulli turns to his deep house side and declares his love for German artists. The album is set to be released at the end of this month. After collaborating with legends like Faithless and John Digweed, the Renaissance label returns to what it does best - showcasing emerging talent. While Nic Fanciulli might not exactly be considered emerging, this is his second mix in the series. His dedication to 'human' house music is admirable, unlike many of his colleagues who have chosen a progressive path. The mix, like the first compilation, consists of two discs. The first disc, titled 'Early Doors,' presents the deep house inclinations of the DJ, featuring tracks by artists like H-Foundation, Fuckpony, and Francois DuBois, as well as remixes by genre giants: Charles Webster, John Tejada, and Timewriter. The mood of this disc will appeal to fans of Danny Howells, especially as it concludes with the well-known blend of 'Always' by Bent (remixed by Ashley Beedle) and 'People Hold On' by Coldcut with Lisa Stansfield, mixed by Howells himself. The second disc, named 'Late Night Floors,' pays respect to the German scene through tracks from collectives like Pig & Dan, Paul Kalkbrenner, Booka Shade, Tiefschwarz, and Gabriel Ananda. Additionally, Nic infuses the second disc with his own remixes and compositions, including the floor-filling track 'Lucky Heather,' which set the dance floor of Space club terrace in Ibiza on fire. Release date: October 30, 2006 by the Renaissance label.
