Ricardo Villalobos - reached the Tech-vergs of Kubikov

On this tech day of April 21st, the Phlegmatic Dog will shudder at the long-awaited Ricardo Villalobos. They had been waiting for his arrival for a year; two previous attempts to come to Moscow had failed. This time Ricardo will stay in Moscow for the whole weekend. You can hear his first and very special performance in Phlegmatic Dog as part of Tech Verses Anton Kubikov.

Since the early 1990s, Ricardo Villalobos has amassed an impressive discography, with numerous releases on respected labels such as Playhouse and Perlon.
He was born in Chile, but when he was a boy, his family moved to Germany to escape Pinochet's dictatorship. It was here, in Germany, that he became interested in house music. He traveled all over the globe, learning to play percussion, and brought this knowledge into his music, which sounded surprisingly deep, despite its apparent simplicity. In addition to solo projects, Riccardo records with Dandy Jack, calling the duo "Ric y Martin" and with Luciano under the name "Sense Club"; participated in Marcus Nicolai’s project “Hombre Ojo”.
Ricciardo released two amazing mixes - "Love Family Trax" in 2002 and "Taka Taka" in 2003.
But the best creation of Villalobos’ career, perhaps, can be called the album “Alcachofa”, released in 2003 on the Playhouse label. The second album, Thé Au Harem D'Archimède, was released on the Perlon label in 2004. Riccardo Villalobos has played at the most important discos in Germany (Ultraschall, Stammheim, E-Werk, Omen, etc.) and at the biggest events and raves (Love Parade). He has also presented his sets at most major events and discos in South America.
