Club promoters couldn't help but notice Richard and his playing style. In a short time, he played in all the city's well-known clubs and made it to the radio, where he was offered his own show. In 2003, Richard's radio show won an award for the best show at the Dance Star Awards in America! In 2001, Richard played at the L.A. Coliseum on New Year's Eve for 40,000 fans. In 2000, Madonna noticed him, and he began appearing frequently at her private parties, playing for her VIP guests. In the same year, Richard was nominated for a Grammy as the Best Remixer of the Year and performed at the Grammys with Madonna. Following this career explosion, Richard was asked to remix tracks for well-known bands and artists such as The Killers, The Bravery, Usher, Sting, and Felix da Housecat.
