On September 8, within the framework of the 66th International Venice Film Festival, the premiere of the documentary 'Villalobos' will take place, starring Chilean musician and DJ Ricardo Villalobos. The material for the film was collected over two years - from 2006 to 2008. It is known that shooting of certain episodes took place in the Berlin club Berghain (where even photography is prohibited), at the closing of the Cocoon party series at Amnesia club (Ibiza), Monza at Privilege club (Ibiza), and at the Sonar festival in Barcelona. Club reports are interspersed with monologues by Ricardo himself. For the director of 'Villalobos' - German Romuald Karmakar - shooting such a film is not his first experience working with musicians. The film was conceived as the final part of a trilogy about electronic music and club culture. The first two parts - '196 BPM' and 'Between the Devil and the Wide Blue Sea' - were dedicated to the Berlin Love Parade of 2002 and the European electronic scene.
