Robert Hood: Techno is a Field of Free Experiments

Robert Hood's merits can be listed for hours, and the title 'the man who invented minimal-techno' may not even be among the main ones. Hood is a representative of the second techno wave in Detroit. Together with Mike Banks and Jeff Mills, Robert stood at the origins of the Underground Resistance union, thanks to which techno in the motor city gained a second wind and acquired not only a new sound but also a new ideology. Hood's solo debut took place in 1991 under the name The Vision, and since then Robert has triumphantly walked through almost all the key techno labels: his records were released by Metroplex, Tresor, Axis, Cheap, Hardwax, Peacefrog, Fabric, Music Man, not to mention his own M-Plant. And the album 'Minimal Nation' became an icon of the style, defining a whole branch of music development. Techno for Robert Hood is a field of free experiments, where we can find soft analog synthesizer chords and industrial clangor in its textures.
