Roisin Murphy's First Solo Concert in Russia
Клубные российские · 06.06.2005
The agency Organised Kaos proudly presents the only performance in Russia by the vocalist of the group Moloko, Roisin Murphy, and the premiere of her first solo album Ruby Blue. Roisin Murphy is the voice and soul of Moloko, the driving force of the entire collective. Since the foundation of the group, she has been the informal leader of Moloko, and all the group’s main hits, such as Sing It Back, are associated by the public with her divine voice. The unconditional charisma of Murphy could be witnessed by attendees of last year's Moloko concert at the "Hermitage" garden.
After her Russian tour in 2004, Roisin effectively left Moloko to focus on recording her first solo album. She was assisted in this work by the famous musician and producer Matthew Herbert. Roisin met Matthew a few years ago when he was remixing Moloko’s hits. The musicians quickly found common ground and now work closely together. In fact, Herbert is a co-author of all 12 songs on the Ruby Blue album.
The Ruby Blue album continues the musical traditions of the Moloko group. It features intelligent dance music enriched with jazz and blues intonations, with a subtle combination of electronic effects and live instruments. Throughout this, Roisin Murphy's wonderful voice hovers, skillfully playing the part of both an elegant socialite and a true hooligan from a rough part of London.
Roisin Murphy's Russian tour opens her European tour, which includes performances at the Sonar festival (Barcelona), in Warsaw, Vienna, Amsterdam, and Haifa.
Roisin Murphy's Moscow concert will be modeled after last year's Moloko concert at the "Hermitage" garden – the same venue, the same buzz of true music lovers, the same relaxed atmosphere of a summer open-air event, and of course, the delightful voice of Roisin Murphy.
