Royksopp to Perform in Moscow at the Green Theatre

It's good that summer in Moscow is never dull. Every year, new creative units, establishments, and special places of power appear in the cultural space of the city. This year, one of these places will undoubtedly be the summer musical project RAY DAY. By organically combining the idea of a high-quality local European festival of contemporary music and a Sunday picnic, the organizers have created what will soon be known as RAY DAY. Considering that this event is organized by the Swiss company RAY INTERNATIONAL AG, which has already made its name known at the European GT-2 and GT-3 championships by introducing the Ferrari team to the public, we should expect unexpected and pleasant surprises. It is anticipated that events under this name will take place regularly once a month, and this series of events will be opened by the Norwegian group Royksopp, which has never performed in Moscow before.
When compiling a list of the greatest groups in the history of modern dance music, the British magazine Mixmag placed this Norwegian duo somewhere between Ronnie Size and S’Express, accompanying this with the words: "We least expected to hear such sunny music from cold Norway." In the 90s, the band members were known primarily in a narrow DJ circle. For example, Torbjørn Bruntland recorded the finest deep house, which was loved by DJ Sanchez at his "Thursdays". However, with the dawn of the new millennium, the musicians found the right accents in their music, calling themselves "Mushroom Raincoat" (this is the translation of the word Royksopp from Norwegian), becoming ultimately one of the best groups of modernity. By finding the right balance between melodies of the "easy listening" era, a barely perceivable hint of jazz, and whimsical lyrics, they hit the very heart of most listeners, tired of all sorts of concepts and new sounds. To begin with, they conquered the world with the beautiful melody "Eple", followed by a solid and indivisible, already classic album "Melody A.M", which elevated them to the ranks of the main groups in the world of dance music. Then, proving that the fear of the first album is not about them, they followed up with an even more powerful album "The Understanding", contracts with majors, and, quite certainly, global popularity.

Surprisingly, Royksopp has never visited Moscow concert venues, and it seems that the sunny music of these Norwegians is perfectly suited to kick off the new series of events by RAY INTERNATIONAL AG and will harmoniously blend with beautiful summer Moscow (where warm days are about as numerous as in Royksopp's native Norway).
