Rubber – Mr. Oizo's Film About the Adventures of a Killer Tire

French DJ and producer Mr. Oizo presented a teaser for his new film Rubber. This is Quentin Dupieux's (real name of Mr. Oizo) third work in cinema after the joint project with SebastiAn (Ed Banger) – Steak and the pseudo-documentary film based on Mr. Oizo's third album – Lambs Anger.

This time, creating Rubber, Quentin was assisted by the founder of Ed Banger - Busy P; the soundtrack includes tracks by Mr. Oizo, Gaspard Auge (Justice), and SebastiAn.

Here’s what the director says about the film: "In the Californian desert, a skeptical crowd watches the adventure of a tire named Robert, who is in love with an attractive young woman. Robert was left on the side of the road, and he suddenly comes to life. As he gets used to the surroundings, Robert discovers a passion for destroying insects and discarded items. Over time, he develops the ability to destroy anything he wants, without moving."

Filming for Rubber began in October of last year. On March 6, Mr. Oizo's new album was released – 2010.

The film will premiere as part of the film festival in Cannes in May 2010.
