Rumors about the 'Mania' magazine, which organizes these strange ethno-electronic festivities, have only been circulating until recently. On Friday the thirteenth, the mystery of the 'Maniacs' will be revealed. The magazine invites you to celebrate the release of its latest 'ethno' issue with a large ethnic party at the venue 'Winzavod' (recently opened near the Kursk Art Center). Shamanistic performances will be given by ancient experts in this field - for example, the famous Tuvan Kongar-ool Ondar, a singer who has recorded with The Kronos Quartet and Frank Zappa. The rising generation will also join in - trance and minimal-techno DJs. And 'somebody'. The names of the headliners are deliberately not disclosed by the stubborn organizers. On one hand, something like a large-scale trance event is promised: 'Winzavod' will be packed with fluorescent fractals, green tea, and other usual Goa gimmicks. On the other hand... Over a thousand years ago, in October 910, the borders of Byzantium, ruled by Leo VI the Wise at the time, were crossed by the Saracens. The situation was tough, but somehow everything was resolved. For the holy fool Andrew, however, it was obvious how - even before the Greeks' victory he saw the Virgin Mary in the Vlahernskaya Church. In her hands, she held an 'omophorion,' a protecting veil, as if showing Her protection over the besieged Tsargrad (Constantinople). All of this leads to the fact that the night of the 'shamanic' party not only hints at horror classics. It also coincides with the beginning of the once beloved holiday in Russia - Pokrov, which began to be celebrated in honor of the appearance that visited St. Andrew over a thousand years ago. October 13th, Friday, starting at 21:00, Shaman Party, the studio of the Moscow art center 'Winzavod' (4th Syromyatnicheskiy Lane, 1, bldg.6), live performances by: Kongar-ool Ondar and Vrezh Meloyan; DJ sets by: Sonia, Goneva, Green Light; Show by: Freak Cabaret and Fire People
