Sami Koivikko to Perform Live Concert at Kubikov
Клубные российские · 31.01.2005
After a short break, Anton Kubikov's techno Thursdays continue to invite interesting foreign musicians. The first guest of this year will be DJ and producer from Finland, Sami Koivikko.
Sami Koivikko began making music back in school: he started with the clarinet and oboe, then spent several years playing bass guitar and keyboards in a local band - all of which later reflected in the sound of his eponymous electronic project.
You could call the recordings of the 26-year-old musician very Finnish. His debut album was released in November 2003 on the Berlin label Shitkatapult. Powerful, thrilling bass and unexpected melodies of occasionally surfacing winds, as in the track Byrthe, do the impossible with the dry and strict 4/4 German techno.
Koivikko is no stranger to Moscow, but the uniqueness of his performance at Phlegmatic Dog lies in the fact that Sami will present his concert - a completely new program specifically prepared for Moscow fans.
