Moscow's Largest Dance Club Opens VIP Dance Floor!

A true club within a club, aimed at a more affluent and discerning audience. ZONA XO is the name promoters of the club have given to their new creation, hinting at its elitism and special VIP level. The dance floor is located on the fourth floor of the club, completing the entire VIP complex - with a chill-out area, restaurant zone, and dance floor. The design is done in the styles of Art Deco and late modernism. The interiors feature artistic forging, stained glass, with expensive fabrics and leather in the finish. The main musical format of the dance floor is declared to be vocal and jazzy house. There are also plans to transition popular Thursday R&B parties to the VIP dance floor.
Promoters of Zona Club foresee regular performances by vocal house stars on the new VIP dance floor. The first performance will be by Traedonya Chequelle, scheduled for October 1, 2005, at the official opening of the VIP dance floor.

Having spent all her life surrounded by live music, diverse groups of people, poetry, various forms of self-expression, and lively MC-ing on the streets in Hillside Housing Project in the Bronx, Traedonya found a close friend and mentor in The Large Professor (Nas, Main Source, Common, Pete Rock), who kickstarted the recording of her demo. Traedonya has often stated that she owes much to The Large Professor. Later, he introduced her to multi-instrumentalist Anton Pushansky (Santana, Nas, Kool G Rap) and Curtis Watts (Graham Central Station, Roy Ayers, Vernon Reid). Together, they formed a group called 'Sample This!', a mixture of hip-hop, funk, and jazz, in which Traedonya was the vocalist and songwriter. The group was very successful, performing in New York and across the entire East Coast. Even without attempting to secure a contract with a major record label, live recordings led them to Elektra Records, with whom the group later collaborated, touring the UK and all of Europe. Currently, Traedonya is very busy - working with renowned producers Cadet, Roland of T-Groove Recordings (Salt n Pepa, China Black), and Asen aka Wet on her solo project.
Traedonya's tracks are some of the best you will ever hear. She sings with passion, with love, and sometimes even with anger. Her straightforwardness is the straightforwardness of that real Boogie Down girl from the Bronx, and her sensuality sets her apart as the Earthy Moon Princess. Referred to as a 'hip-hop opera' in music publications in America and abroad, her song 'Naked Gun' became the soundtrack to a 2001 film.
