Chental Passamonte, who composes and performs under the pseudonym Mira Calix, creates intricate, yet vibrant and passionate electro, launching found sounds into the labyrinths of rhythm, inventing nimble melodies, purring and whispering various paradoxes into the microphone. She is compared to Aphex Twin and Karlheinz Stockhausen; she collaborates with the London Symphony Orchestra and is famous for her quirky solo performances.
