Arguably the luckiest and most popular Japanese DJ and house music composer worldwide. Satoshi's career began from an early age when his parents suggested he learn to play the piano. He studied this craft for 10 years, developing a clear passion for jazz music. In school, he managed to play in various musical groups. The early sound of hip-hop music inspired him to not only create his own group but also try himself as a DJ and composer. The 'young' Chicago mixtapes on analog media firmly established his positions in Satoshi's future work. A significant turning point occurred a few months into his career. A Japanese cosmetics company made an offer to Satoshi - to create a track for an upcoming promo-party where the legendary Frankie Knuckles was to perform. After the party, Satoshi's career took off. Alongside Frenkie, the track 'Tears' was recorded, defining vocal-house as a style in dance music and becoming a dance floor classic for all time. Significant changes in Satoshi's life occurred after moving to New York. After working with Frankie 'Knuckles', which began in 1989, Satoshi was accepted into the high-profile Def Mix Crew. Working on remixes for many celebrities like Simply Red, David Bowie, U2, Mariah Carey did not go unnoticed. Despite being a leading DJ in Japan, the house industry was not stagnant, with the likes of David Morales and Frankie Knuckles whose influence was growing daily. This fact became the motivation for creating his individual, recognizable sound, which soon solidified him as the best DJ and composer. In 2000, he wrote and released his debut album 'Full Lick' for Sony label. This CD was greeted with applause not only by his fans but also by the press, who never ceased to admire each single and his success in dance charts. In the United States, tracks 'Up in Flames' and 'Darkness' cemented his position not only in the dance scene but also in the alternative scene. Subsequently released from the GlobalUnderground label, John Digweed's compilation included the track 'Love in Traffic' by Satoshi alongside three other remix tracks of the album. Satoshi founded and registered his record label - 'SAW. Recordings'. It was his dream to create a platform from which he could showcase ideas and possibilities of yet undiscovered talents, with a more experimental and underground sound. His first single released from his label, Bipath 'Paranoize,' made a great impression on DJs worldwide. On March 26, Satoshi Tomiie and DJ Hector Romero will perform at the club 'SLAVA.'
