Series of Audio-Visual Research

On February 22, the State Center for Contemporary Art will host the "Series of Audio-Visual Research" organized by the creative duo Nikita Tsymbal – Natalia Poloka (INN). INN's area of interest involves experimenting with photo and video materials using the most modern technologies. The duo gained great fame thanks to their collaborations with leading musicians from Moscow and St. Petersburg. For the project at the SCCA, INN has invited a diverse group of musicians and VJs. The evening's program will consist of twenty-minute performances by musicians of contrasting styles and manners accompanied by video artists and concluding with a joint improvisation by all participants.
"Series of Audio-Visual Research" includes:
- merging sound and video into one context
- creating a video sequence in real time
- blending electronic and analog sounds
- combining classical instruments and technologies with non-traditional and innovative musical methods
- improvisation and spontaneity

Electronic music by digitaliya (Nika Japaridze, David Togonidze) cannot disguise its Georgian genesis. The positive organization of compositions, whose clear structure adds optimism to the moment, will be supported by one of Russia's most skillful video artists Vadim Epstein. INN will envelop the hot improvisation of the northerners Natalia Skvortsova (piano, synthesizer), Sergey Krasnopolyansky (double bass), and Anton Konchakov (clarinet) in their media version.
