Flammable Beats' Sixth Anniversary

Flammable Beats is celebrating its sixth anniversary! The celebration will take place at a completely new venue for events - at Art Play Design Center. Flammable Beats is considered the main hip-hop union in the country. No existing community in Russia is so consistently promoting black culture. No one is as skilled in the technical aspects of working with turntables. No one is able to express and defend their aesthetic positions in the same way. And, finally, no one is as famous as Flammable Beats. The team consists of four DJs - Andrey Pirumov, Andrey Chagin, Ivan DJ Vinilkin, and Dmitry Tactics Vinokurov. Hip-hop in the Flammable version turns into its original subcultural discipline. In it, sports photography can coexist with Stones Throw vinyl, Roots Manuva compositions smoothly fall on the ears of young skateboarders, and tours in remote towns of Russia are combined with performances at Denis Simachev's bar. They have performed with De La Soul, Snoop Dogg, Nightmares On Wax, Wu-Tang Clan representatives, and Lee "Scratch" Perry. Over 6 years, their parties were held at Simachev, Solyanka, Propaganda, and R&B Cafe. None of the large-scale events related to street culture and rap is complete without someone from Flammable Beats. The celebration will be visited by San Francisco-born DJ Shortkut (djshortkut.com) – a 20-year veteran and winner of the DMC Championships. As well as Canadian resident Mat The Alien (myspace.com/matthealien), who easily mixes reggae with British independent hip-hop, drum-n-bass with rock-n-roll, and can skillfully incorporate a sample from even Britney Spears into a tight funky set.
