The duo Monsieur Blumenberg + Doctor Zoil (also known as Settebello Unlimited) - an unexpected meeting of two stars of Italian lounge music. Many have probably already noticed the newly emerged funk-beat version of the classic Neapolitan song O Sole Mio. This creation is from the newborn duo! A fresh stream in Italian electronic-vocal music, a witty departure from lounge clichés, the bounciest funky big beat crossed with bastard electro and bastard bossa - this is what Monsieur Blumenberg + Doctor Zoil represent.
Monsieur Blumenberg (flute, theremin, saxophone, vocals) is half of the family duo Montefiori Cocktail, where he performs under the name Chicco Montefiori. "Cocktail" needs no introduction, not only because the guys have visited Moscow and St. Petersburg several times. The two brothers consider their mission to recreate the warm and carefree atmosphere of the mid-60s, which is very close in spirit to their father, the famous saxophonist Germano Montefiori. They started playing together in 1997. Since then, Montefiori Cocktail has participated in numerous lounge festivals, recorded several original albums, gifted two tracks to Pizzicato Five’s vocalist Maki Nomiya, created the soundtrack for the program Caffe Arcobaleno on the main Italian music channel TMC 2, performed at the iconic London club Madame JoJo, and collaborated with Karminsky Experience. Now, the surname Montefiori has become synonymous with exquisite fun and carefree celebration.
Now about Doctor Zoil (bass guitar, keyboards, vocals). This cheerful young man is the founder and producer of the band VIP 200. The guys mix lounge with shake, 60s rhythm and blues, and psychedelic dub so successfully that they became winners of the World Lounge Festival, held every year in Italy. During their travels, the band also made it to Moscow, where they gained many new fans.
It should be added that the iconic Italian DJ Alessandro Casella advised Mr. Blumenfeld and Dr. Zoil to choose Café Keks as their concert venue. The headliner of the recent "Without Lupa-2" festival enjoyed playing at "Keks" so much that he shares his positive impressions with all his friends.
