SKIF-14 in St. Petersburg

The fourteenth International Festival of Sergey Kuryokhin SKIF will take place on May 14-15 at the Sergey Kuryokhin Modern Art Center in St. Petersburg. The SKIF International Festivals are organized by the Sergey Kuryokhin Charitable Foundation, dedicated to the prominent Russian composer of the late 20th century. The festival is based on Sergey Kuryokhin's ideas used in the 'Pop-Mechanics' project. SKIF features not only music but also performances, multimedia, artistic actions, film and video art, as well as workshops. The festival introduces new names in contemporary and progressive music from various countries to the audiences in St. Petersburg and Russia. Most musicians will be performing in Russia for the first time. The festival will host around thirty musical groups from different countries.
