SKIF-XIII in St. Petersburg

The thirteenth annual international festival SKIF will take place at the Sergey Kuryokhin Modern Art Center in St. Petersburg from April 23 to 25. In addition to music, the Center will feature films, animation, and video art with the support of the company 'Inoe Kino.' About thirty musical groups from various countries and continents have confirmed their participation, including Australian prog-rockers Pivot (Warp Records), American experimental pop-rock band Deerhoof, Japanese prog-hardcore legend Zeni Geva, the duo of the godfather of German electronic dub Bernt Friedman and Can's legendary drummer Jaki Liebezeit (Germany), founding figure of percussion industrial Z'ev (USA), Japanese noise scene veteran KK Null, Yoshihide Otomo's solo project Ruins alone, one of Poland's best electronic projects 8rolek, Belgian lo-fi electro-pop performer Kania Tieffer, Italian noise-rock duo OvO, jazz and electronic fusion band Baaba from Poland, Latvian experimentalists Pulseh Pusew, Finnish psychedelic rock band Shogun Kunitoki, poetic-musical project Avaspo from Lithuania, Estonian psychedelic disco divas Stella, Belarusian freaks Cassiopeia, Moscow's indie sensation Moremoney, psychedelic post-punk band Dormitory from Moscow, and several other talented young groups from St. Petersburg.
