"Sweet Lightning" from Oleg Kostrov

The musician of the group “Knife for Frau Muller” and one of the country’s main electronic experimenters Oleg Kostrov recorded a new album “Sweet Lightning” as part of his solo project “Supersonic Future”. Following all the traditions of pop music with regard to form, Kostrov, creating this record, mocks the content to his heart's content. Kostrov’s pop music is bright, daring, a little provocative and certainly controversial.
At first glance, Kostrov’s new record is simple and clear. For those who listen to “Sweet Lightning” several times and delve into the meaning of the words and intonations, it will become clear that the album is imbued with a deep philosophy of life - the philosophy of life of modern man. And Oleg puts all this electro-pop trash into the mouth of a charming young girl. While still part of “Knives,” Kostrov and Gitarkin dreamed of an ideal female voice for many years. But they never found him. Now for his project “Supersonic Future” Kostrov made another attempt. Having tried a bunch of vocalists, including even waitresses from the fashionable restaurant Justo, Oleg, with the help of his friend DJ Andrei Panin, found a girl named Yulia Dzhusi, who, according to Kostrov, has an unusually beautiful voice, confident and feminine. The release of the album "Sweet Lightning" is scheduled for mid-October.
