The most international series of current parties featuring the most significant and bright representatives of the modern music scene. All festival events - this time there will be seven of them - will take place at the Youth Theatre on Fontanka and in the adjoining park from June 28 to August 9. Each party is outstanding personalities, well-known and influential DJs from leading European labels, fashion shows, special videobackgrounds, unprecedented design, and excellent audience. The StereoSummer 2003 Festival is included in the official program of the celebration of the 300th anniversary of St. Petersburg.
Now STEREOSUMMER is an annual international music festival.

Stereo Total
Berlin residents Stereo Total, perhaps the best pop group in the world. Francoise Cactus, a Frenchwoman and singer, plays drums and guitar excellently, writes prose and poetry. Brezel Goring, a German and vocalist, loves kitsch, chanson, and his synthesizer. Stereo Total is pop as naive art. Rock-n-roll, Kraftwerk, 'Da-Da-Da', just da-da and 'Je t'aime, moi non plus' (Artemy Troitsky).

Maxwell Implosion
Torsten Heller, known to anyone who has ever visited a club under the artistic pseudonym Maxwell Implosion, is an exceptionally popular DJ, a great authority on remixes, an expert in all rhythms, the president of the World Vinyl Lovers Society. His list of performances, works, and merits looks like a whole 'Who's Who' directory of the global club scene. If you've listened to his album 'Small Circle of Friends,' consider that you've been on vacation. Creates a light tropical mood using jazz, house, breakbeat, soul, funk, R&B, dub, and more.

DJ Martin Lever
Martin Lever - curator and organizer, fifteen years as a DJ and, so to speak, a cultural bearer from Manchester. He was the first to bring the cult American label Strictly Rhythm to Britain, was a resident at Back to Basics parties (Leeds), and now manages his new club project Rub-a-dub-dub (RDD). Martin's new program is 'Manchester Week in St. Petersburg' (June 28 - July 6, 2003)

DJ James Holroyd
James Holroyd decided to become a DJ, and a good one, after which he performed at excellent and fatally crazy acid house parties Back to Basics at the Music Factory club (Leeds) and techno-house parties called Bugged Out! (Manchester). Tom and Ed from the Chemical Brothers were so impressed by James's technique and style of play that they could not help but invite him on a tour of England (1995) and America (1997), the USA, Japan, and Europe (2002).

DJ Gregory
Formerly, house music in France was underground music, known only to the chosen ones, and Gregory was just one of those initiates. That's why he's called the pioneer of French house. With DJ Deep, he hosted the evening program on Radio FG, took an example from Ludovic Navarre from St.Germain, played together with Daft Punk and Dimitri From Paris. And one day, he met Bob Sinclar, after which a joint double album Africanism appeared cheerful and pleasant. Inspired by the success, Gregory opened the Faya Combo label, for which he was already rewarded at the Winter Music Conference in Miami and showered with flowers in Ibiza.

Rubin Steiner
Frederic Lande invented Rubin Steiner to sit in a home studio and record compositions out of great love for jazz harmonies, hip-hop, house, and breakbeat, and then perform on stage with a quartet. Both studio work and performances are done under the name Rubin Steiner, doing well in France, seeking sensation in Europe. Frederic gives live concerts with a sampler, special effects, surrounded by microphones, as well as a bassist, trombonist, flutist, and Francois Piron's video mixes. The show is extremely spectacular, so Rubin Steiner is constantly invited to all major festivals in France (like Midem in Cannes) and Germany (like Popkomm in Cologne).

Nicola Conte
Nicola Conte is known worldwide as the most stylish and subtle musician of the new generation. In his homeland, Italy, Nicola is considered a key figure in the new jazz: thanks to him, an ordinary visitor to a club in Rome or Florence is able to distinguish between Miles Davis and Herbie Hancock, dance to a saxophone solo, and answer the question of how Italian films of the 1960s differ from those of the 1970s. Because Conte, a DJ and producer, composes songs out of great love for old school jazz, bossa nova, and swing. As a result, he creates talented and non-trivial acid jazz - you can equally well move around the dance floor and watch the retro videos that accompany each performance.

Kyoto Jazz Massive
They are considered exceptionally successful export from Japan: DJs with excellent taste and producers with a well-deserved reputation. Kyoto Jazz Massive is two brothers Shuya Okino and Yoshihiro Okino, jazz, bossa nova, Latin, and house specialists. They became famous in their homeland for being pioneers, propagandists, and organizers of the DJ culture back in the late 1980s. Night parties under the name 'Kyoto Jazz Massive' were regularly held since the early 1990s in Tokyo, Osaka, and Kyoto. Released on the prestigious and important Compost Records label.

Nozh Dlya Frau Myuller
The main futuro-electronic project in Russia. The hyper-important scientific-popular duet of Oleg Kostrov and Oleg Gitarkin is released by record companies around the world but performs rarely because each participant has two or three solo projects. A rare and lucky chance to see 'Nozh Dlya Frau Myuller' in action.

DJ Oleg Kostrov
Kostrov is not only 'Nozh Dlya Frau Myuller.' Music for theatrical projects and performances, work with fashion designer-activist Andrei Bartenev and presenting 'Snow Queen' in London, Björk's admirer and Mouse on Mars, Stereo Total and Jimi Tenor's colleague. Also: solo projects 'Ivonna' and 'Imago' (for the eponymous theatrical production by Pavlo Kaplevich with Anastasia Vertinskaya in the lead role). Kostrov is a favorite guest star in Japan, Germany, Great Britain, and, of course, at the StereoSummer festival.

Japanese fitness music and Russian sports abstraction. Presentation of a new painting technique aimed exclusively at athletes.

During the entire festival, the Summertime stereo cafe 'Youth' is open every day. Special events on Fridays.
