Sonar 2010

Preparations for the main music event of early summer, the Sonar 2010 festival scheduled for June 17-19, are in full swing. The event's lineup has been finalized, and this year the festival will take place in two cities – traditionally in Barcelona and for the first time in La Coruña (Sonar Galicia). Galicia will be the main symbol of the entire Sonar 2010 festival. In support of this idea, a special film 'Finisterre' was produced. In it, two ghosts from Sonar 2009 set out on the Way of Saint James (the pilgrimage route to the tomb of the Apostle James in the Spanish city of Santiago de Compostela) to the edge of the world. These spirits in white clothing appear on many festival advertising materials. As always, the program will consist of daytime and nighttime parts. Confirmed musical performances in Barcelona include: The Chemical Brothers, LCD Soundsystem, Dizzee Rascal, Air, Flying Lotus, Plastikman, Hot Chip, Sigur Ros, Matthew Herbert, Zomby, John Talabot, Hudson Mohawke, The Sugar Hill Gang, Fuck Buttons, Aeroplane, Sandwell District, 2 Many DJs, Mary Anne Hobbs, Joy Orbison, Roska, and others. In La Coruña, mainly local musicians from Galicia are announced: Mweslee, BFlecha, 6pm, Fluzo, Ino, Grobas, Cora Novoa; however, headline acts such as Air, LCD Soundsystem, Laurent Garnier, Hot Chip, Matthew Herbert, Flying Lotus, Octa Push, DJ Mehdi, Riton will also perform.
