On April 18-19 in Moscow, at the cinema "Mir KinoTavrea", the Visual Media Show will take place. The VM Show is held under the auspices of the Young Cinema Forum "Debut-KinoTavrea" and showcases the works and performances of artists working in adjacent areas of visually-animated arts. The aim of the show is to present to the audience and participants of the Forum the main existing trends and directions in these areas. The program is designed for two evenings. The first is a kind of creative laboratory where spectators will have the opportunity not only to observe the works but also to participate in them. The second is focused on showcasing works and performances by renowned artists. The main parts of the VM Show include: Interactive video - one of the most interesting areas at the intersection of video technologies and other human activities; Visual Jockeying - the mainstream of contemporary visual arts, manipulating video imagery to music; Computer animation (Flash/Shockwave/animation/etc.) - a rapidly growing trend based on specific technologies but long gone beyond their 'usual' applications; Videoart - focusing on works that play with the peculiarities inherent in video imagery as a two-dimensional image on the screen.
