Studio 54 at Studio 11. The generational continuity is maintained by the legendary Bert Bevans, a distinguished house DJ from the United States. Bert Bevans was at the origins of the American house movement. Together with his friend and colleague Francois K, he performed at the famous Paradise Garage, Playboy Club, Pippins, Xenon`s, and Mudd, the first truly dance clubs in New York. As a "special guest," Bevans played at private parties at the acclaimed Studio 54, where Mick Jagger, Sylvester Stallone, Diana Ross, Grace Jones, and Stevie Wonder danced to his sets. In the early 90s, Bert moved to the UK and became a resident at the Ministry Of Sound. Largely due to his efforts, London clubbers became acquainted with American house culture and discovered the previously unknown garage style in Europe. In parallel, Bert worked in the studio, producing dance remixes of hits by Paul McCartney, Level 42, Depeche Mode, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, and Chic. Today, Bert Bevans is a living history of modern dance music, combining the rare sound of "that same Studio 54" in his sets with the most modern house rhythms.
