Swayzak in Moscow!!!

Swayzak - this London duo, consisting of James Taylor and David Brown, is widely known for their "eclectic, yet consistently deep minimalism." Starting with their debut album Snowboarding In Argentina (recognized in 98 as Mixer magazine's album of the year), the musicians declared their own vision of electronic music. Their remixes for artists such as Larry Heard, Badmarsh & Shri, Martin Landsky, Markus Guntner, Seсor Coconut, Replique, Quarks, ADNY & The Persuader, their experimental side projects, compilations, and collaborations have firmly established their reputation as 'suppliers of deep-dub-minimal-techno-house for all occasions.' But the album 'Dirty Dancing,' released in 2002 on the famous German label Studio !K7, brought Swayzak real fame. This record immediately found its place in the bags of practically all well-known DJs and put the duo on stage with electro artists such as Fischerspooner, Adult, Felix da Housecat, and DMX Krew. 'We started working with electro back in 98, but only in recent years has this style become truly popular,' says David, 'but we don't stop. Now we make house music, deep music, music with soul elements, we don't want to be limited to electroclash only, although electro has always been and will be with us. It's a great style of music - much more interesting than 4/4 techno.' Last year, alongside the release of their latest album Loops From The Bergerie on the same Studio !K7, the duo also distinguished themselves with an excellent release on the English label of the Fabric club. The mix Fabric 11 by Swayzak was a real gift for fans of both deep-minimal and electroclash. This time on January 22, an extended lineup will come to Moscow - in addition to the 'Swayzaks' themselves, their favorite DJ Roger 23, vocalist Richard Davis, and the group's resident VJ will accompany them on the tour supporting the new album. The program, consisting of Swazak live and DJ sets by Swayzak and Roger 23, is planned for the whole night, so the upcoming show can confidently be called Swayzak's first real visit to Moscow!!!
