SWMC: I.AM [NOW] UNEXPECTED Party
Клубные российские · 03.02.2009
On February 7, within the framework of SWMC, a pavilion for 1500 guests will appear in the central square of Sochi for just a few hours, serving as the location for a vibrant musical event called I.AM [NOW] UNEXPECTED.
The lineup and their performances on one stage speak for themselves. The well-known Mike Spirit and Alexander Nuzhdin are much-anticipated guests at musical events of all formats and sizes. The exquisite lounge rhythms of Alexander Nuzhdin have been heard both in Ibiza and Monte Carlo, but every time the DJ invariably returns to Sochi to perform his main winter sunny set.
His colleague, the founder of the Moscow techno sound, Mike Spirit, being a regular at SWMC, knows the preferences of the local audience well and is preparing a special set made up of selected, the best, and new tracks.
The young musical forces do not intend to stand aside and are currently rapidly gaining recognition and love from the public. For example, Roma Kenga, who not so long ago was just teasing fortune on MySpace, released his debut album "There, Where Love Is" on the Universal label at the end of 2008. A composer, poet, musician, vocalist, arranger, and even sound engineer – it seems that Roma took on too much, but he does not falter whether performing in front of a 25,000-strong crowd at Europa Plus Live or collaborating with the Scandinavian group Royksopp.
Meanwhile, the ironic group "Lavanda" from Kaliningrad talks about the 80s, which they hardly experienced, but conveys the spirit and chic of those years with astonishing authenticity. Cheerful Phil and Fred sing about top models, Jurmala, and Vladimir Kuzmin, perform on stage with Marc Almond, and make Roman Abramovich himself dance.
Finally, Sergei Pimenov's protégé, the Smolensk quartet Swanky Tunes, will demonstrate what they have learned in less than three years. Having kicked off in 2006, Swanky Tunes participated in the summer series Fort Dance Live, received the RDMA award for Best Music Project, and then created an unprecedented hit with the song "Spring" by Delfin. Then they moved on to remixes on well-known western labels and embarked on a large-scale touring activity.
