Mathias Schaffhauser became a cult figure back in the early 90s, influencing the development of a musical style that combined elements of house and techno, known as the 'Cologne sound.' The genres he works in include Electro, Electro-Techno, Techno, Tech-House. His first successful track was '6 Uhr morgens/Nice To Meet You,' released on the Blaou label and charted. In 1998, Mathias founded his second label, WARE. He does not follow trends or chase big names in music. Even though pop music found its way into his career through a remix he did of the classic 80s hit 'Hey Little Girl,' which gained worldwide fame. In 2002, together with Jin Choi, Mathias released the album 'Die Riesige Nacht/The Gigantic Night' on the Ware label. Speaking of his upcoming performance, you can expect that at some point, the music will stray from minimalism and just 'pick up speed,' making a party with him always a new experience. On December 11, Mathias Schaffhauser will play his exclusive set at Anton Kubikov's tech-verg at the Phlegmatic Dog. You can listen to his set online on the techno.44100.com website.
