Techno Ballet featuring Luke Slater

British artist Luke Slater has composed new music for another Egopoint show, combining elements of techno and contemporary ballet. The first joint performance took place at the Berghain club in Berlin last year with the Berlin State Ballet troupe. For the musical accompaniment, Luke then chose tracks from his album on Ostgut Ton – Shut Up And Dance! This time, the musician will collaborate with the same ballet. The choreography for nine dancers is being overseen by Russian ballerina Nadya Saydakova. The venue, however, will change to the theater at Haus Der Berliner Festspiele (Schaperstraße 24), accommodating about 1000 people. The stage design and lighting will be handled by another compatriot of ours – Elena Lukyanova.
