On April 22, the new techno opera RGB by Moscow composer Anton Shamanhton, a participant in numerous electronic collectives (Dubovyi Gai, Alien Pat Holeman, Brothers in Reason, Mushroom Killers, Vega Stereo), will be presented at the MSPRKT club. RGB is a short opera in the style of traditional Japanese Noh theater, telling the story of robots in love and the difficulties in mastering new living spaces. The techno opera RGB was first presented last year at the Abracadabra festival.
The opera performance is framed by performances from the groups Mushroom Killers and Vega Stereo, shows by young designers Alena Astra, Alison & George, and Cherry Poison, poetic readings by Sergey Arkhangelsky, and a real-time video installation from VJ Poloka, VJ Kirsan, and VJ Angelian.
Alison is the head of the theater in Justo, a participant in Alexander Petlyura's performances. Poloka is a resident of Gazgolder and curator of audio-visual research at the GCSI, Kirsan is the founder of the project Chromodynamics and art director of the "Street of OGI", Angelian is the head of "Art Changes", a well-known tea master. The musical accompaniment of the shows is provided by DJ-COM.
Mushroom Killers consists of Alexander Novikov and Natasha Kemper. The project was formed in 2003 from the ruins of the psychedelic team Mushrooms. The Killers use analog drum machines and synthesizers, theremins, and found instruments to create hard, danceable urban techno with vivid elements of guitar kraut-rock. In 2006, Anton Shamanhton joined the project, he also worked on the mastering of the albums of the Killers and Natasha Kemper.
Vega Stereo is a calmer, electroacoustic ambient project by Nastya Vega and Alexey Pushkin, with whom Shamanhton was also involved.
