The Field - guests at SSMESS

On February 5th, as part of the SSMESS series event at Club "Solyanka", the project The Field will perform live. The Field is primarily one person: Axel Willner, a quiet Swedish citizen who made a lot of noise with his first record From Here We Go Sublime. Taking the solid techno template as a basis, Willner managed to create something fundamentally new - techno that is somehow not techno at the same time. He slightly altered the tempo, smoothed out the rhythmic structures, and enriched the music with a multitude of ethereal samples, which immediately earned The Field the label of techno-ambient. Now, presumably to distance himself from techno completely (despite still releasing his records through Kompakt), Willner has armed himself with a full live band consisting of three people - bass, drums, guitar. Nonetheless, the result remained the same - techno not techno. And everyone is happy about it.
