The duo Tiefschwarz was founded in 1996 by brothers Ali and Basti Schwarz, who were already recognized DJs in Germany at the time. The name, which translates as 'deep black,' combines their surname and their favorite genre of music, deep house. In 1990, they fulfilled their long-held dream and opened their own club, ON-U, in Stuttgart. Three years later, Ali and Basti opened The Red Dog, which is known worldwide as one of the main examples of club music culture. Tiefschwarz performed with almost all the artists and collectives of the genre, including Tony Humphries, Masters At Work, Frankie Knuckles, Mike Dunn, Mousse T, Herbert, and many others. They have toured Europe and America multiple times and are residents at clubs in Frankfurt, London, and Ibiza. After dozens of musical works in the form of remixes for Ultra Nate, Jam & Spoon, Earth, Wind & Fire, Masters At Work, Mousse T, and many others, and after several singles, Tiefschwarz released an album in 2002, the tracks from which immediately entered various charts, and to this day, their music videos are constantly played on European MTV screens. Mio Café presents Tiefschwarz (Tiefschwarz, Fine/Four Music, Germany) also featuring DJs Zorkin and Krasnov on November 20, 2004, starting at midnight.
