Freestyle translates from English as 'free style.' This term aptly describes the musical interests of the eponymous label. Freestyle Records is the official representatives of the renowned club brand Ministry Of Sound and its wonderful offshoot, Hed Kandi, as well as the Russian partners of labels like Renaissance, Baroque, Toolroom Recordings, Audio Therapy, Pool E, Phonetic, and many others. Freestyle Records was founded in 2007 and is part of a large holding company that includes the 'Style Records' label, the 'Mood' store chain, the publishing house C-Media (publishers of Billboard, Ivan, and others), and one of the largest distributors in Russia, representing the entire Warner label catalog in the CIS countries since 2008.

Freestyle Records is active not only in the local market but is the most active Russian label on the global dance scene. The label's representatives actively participated in major music conferences like the Amsterdam Dance Event and the Winter Music Conference in Miami.
