This large-scale event brings together music groups and projects in the field of electronic music in the territory of Western Siberia, neighboring and distant foreign countries. The electronic music festival has been held since 2001 when the first pilot version of the program was launched. The music (presented by DJs from Novosibirsk, Omsk, and Kemerovo) was combined with the II International Festival of Contemporary Video eVIDEOPLENAIR. The festival participants are musicians and DJs for whom electronic music is the most relevant form of creativity.
Psychologists have noted that modern industrial cities exert a certain influence on the human psyche. The pace of life in technopolises is very high, and life activity is quite monotonous and mechanistic. It resembles a movement along a certain conveyor. It is quite natural that in such conditions, the cultural and aesthetic state of a person also changes.
These sociopsychological problems become decisive factors stimulating the creativity of the urbanized individual. The artistic material in such creativity becomes the techno-reality itself, the achievements of progress, and the means, i.e., the language of the techno-artist, are the objects and items surrounding him.
Modern art is highly technological, mechanistic, and to some extent monotonous. The automation of life is transferred to art, and art begins to live according to the laws of industrial civilization.
The participants include electronic projects such as Lazyfish from Moscow, Hydroponica from Moscow, Yellowhead from St. Petersburg, the S.P.U.L. Project from Tomsk, Stereo Modus from Novokuznetsk, Asos Culkas from Omsk, No conception from Krasnoyarsk, EGO-alliance from Krasnoyarsk, MFD2HD from Krasnoyarsk, 8 Bit from Novosibirsk, Punck TV from Novosibirsk, and Math Geek from Novosibirsk.
The DJs included are DJ Kite from Novosibirsk, Somedjridoo from Novosibirsk, DJ Quant from Kemerovo, and DJ ZigZag from Kemerovo.
