Ulrich Schnauss at Sergey Sapunov's Party

German musician Ulrich Schnauss will be the first foreign guest at Sergey Sapunov's Friday events "And Now for Something Completely Different" in Solyanka. Schnauss's latest records are regularly released on the famous British label Domino, with all music composed and performed by him on a laptop. This is atypical indietronica, the closest analogue of which is the work of Schnauss's label mate Dan Snaith, better known as Caribou. Despite his affinity for representatives of the harsh style (Tangerine Dream, My Bloody Valentine), Schnauss plays music at his performances that seems understandable even to a child. His songs contain no sharp edges or rough spots; they do not clang or crack at the seams, striving to break into a thousand self-sufficient melodies; rather, they obediently rustle like a toy train going around a circular railroad...
