Uplifto Wednesday in Sexton

Every Wednesday, closer to midnight, a group of like-minded people - Uplifto dj's - gathers at the Sexton club to chat in a relaxed atmosphere, share news, and without much fanfare, but willingly, play new records.
Breaking out new records at Sexton is a pleasure. But it’s not even about the records, it’s a platform for testing new ideas. Just recently, they say, Agent Smith put on his new theme and saw that they were dancing to it, for his benefit, and for people’s joy. In January they successfully debuted their Live Electronic Show DJ Morozov & Astero.
It’s especially nice that you can meet people who generally don’t perform in the capital often. Here you can catch the rare Lebedev at the turntables, and then ask over beer what is heard in the regions, who is asked. And he will not brush aside your obsession.
People come here to share news about the past half of the week and ask around in purely “their” company who knows what about the next half. Here is the forge of plans for the coming weekend. Here DJs talk about how beautiful Mariupol is, and will never confuse it with Melitopol.
This is essentially a house party, and in the club there is a soft feeling “like in slippers”, and you think “...and all these DJs are family, of course, with new ideas, but where else would I go to warm up in this cold environment.”
