Web Service for Studying Listener Opinions

A new service - Band Metrics, designed to track listener reactions to music tracks, will soon appear online. The tool will be useful for music groups and sound producers. It collects information about who and how often listens, forwards, and discusses music by certain artists across social networks and blogs. The outcome of using such a program may be the identification of current music trends, image management, and analysis of the impact of certain music on listeners.

A public beta version of Band Metrics is expected to be released in the coming weeks. Currently, about 7 million music groups and 1.3 million songs have been analyzed, with the number expected to increase at least thirty-fold soon.
