Villalobos and ZIP in Moscow at the Cocoon Party

Without exaggeration and loud epithets - Ricardo Villalobos is coming to Moscow along with DJ Zip, the owner of the Berlin label Perlon. As soon as the fact of the famous Chilean's arrival was confirmed, techno fans began to share this news almost in whispers, as if already fearing what would happen at the entrance to Arma on March 7, or for some other reason - to not waste their emotions in anticipation and save them for the moment.

Ricardo's biography and achievements can be summarized in a few main facts. He was born in Santiago and moved with his family to Germany at an early age to escape Pinochet's military regime. In his teenage years, he listened to Depeche Mode (later realizing his dream by recording a mix for them). He enrolled in university, began organizing student parties, and occasionally produced music. He joined the team of the Playhouse label, and that’s where it all began.

Over ten years of professional DJing, Villalobos has received many official and unofficial titles: DJ of the year in various rankings, organizer of some of the best Berlin afterparties, and a master of long tracks characterized by a unique rhythm and Latin American melodies. He even managed to father a son, whom he always speaks of with pride, and somehow balances family life with an extremely active touring schedule.

Disheveled, happy, dancing, and acutely aware of his audience – this is how Ricardo is almost always, whether performing before a large crowd in Ibiza or in a small venue at the Berlin club Visionaire.

As for the second hero of the party – DJ ZIP – he is associated with the camp of innovators in the modern electronic scene, noted for his excellent musical taste and passion for profound and lengthy sets.
