How2Make Workshop in Saint Petersburg

On March 25, a master class titled "Beat Theory" will take place at the "Efira" club in Saint Petersburg. At this event, participants will discuss, listen, and practice music built on broken rhythms. Experts and practitioners at the "Beat Theory" will be representatives of the Moscow association how2make.ru. The stylistic basis includes Beats, Hip-Hop, Nu-Sound, Dubstep, Breakbeat, Abstract.

The Beat Theory / Tech Theory project is aimed at discovering and promoting young regional performers working in the electronic music genre. Over the course of four months, a combined team of musicians, DJs, label directors, and promoters will visit 10 major cities with a series of musical master classes.

The master classes will be divided into two main stylistic categories: Beat Theory and Tech Theory. Following the master class in each city, musicians (or those wishing to become one) will be selected to attend a large workshop on Lake Seliger in a grand festival environment.

More than 20 Russian and foreign artists will participate in the workshop, conducting training sessions and demonstrating their practical skills. Directors of international labels will observe the young artists. At the end of the weeklong work, the best 15 musicians will be included in the report collection of the Algorythmik label, and the most talented project will perform in September in Moscow at a significant event.
