The Return of Tresor Club

One of the most significant and influential clubs of the techno scene is reopening its doors after a two-year hiatus. The Berlin club Tresor was founded in 1991 by Dimitri Hegemann and Achim Kohlenberger and was originally located in an abandoned bank vault. Success came immediately, and the club still attracts and unites leaders of the techno industry. Just six months after the club opened, the Tresor label was founded, which also turned out to be very successful. The list of DJs who played within these legendary walls includes names like Ellen Allien, DJ Hell, Chris Liebing, Christian Vogel, Housemeister, John Acquaviva, Paul van Dyk, Richie Hawtin, and many more. After the building housing the club was demolished to make way for new construction, the Tresor team had to lead a nomadic lifestyle, hosting parties in various locations. Eventually, a new home was found for the club in the building of a former power plant. The three floors of the renovated Tresor will house the Batterieraum dance floor (a replacement for the former Globus), the +4 bar, and a sinister basement that can be accessed by overcoming a 30-meter tunnel. Tresor Club starts its new life on May 24th with special guest Sven Väth. After the grand opening party, the club will transition to regular operation and will be open to guests every Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday, with special events promised as well.
