The Return of Plastikman

In an interview with a foreign publication dedicated to electronic music, Richie Hawtin announced that he plans to resume work on his Plastikman project in 2010. On March 27, Plastikman will perform at the Time Warp festival in Mannheim and as part of the Coachella festival on April 18 in California. Plastikman first became known to a wider audience in 1993, marking the date of his debut performance under this pseudonym. Ten years later, the last live performance of the project took place at the Canadian festival Mutek. A feature of Plastikman is the combination of musical, video, and sound effects during the set. In the near future, Hawtin promises additional surprises in connection with the revival of the project – a website update and possibly a new album.
