Meet minimal in Russian

Citadel records and Illusion records present two presentation parties of the CD compilation Illusion Noises by Moscow DJ Stankov, a resident of the cafe "Sad Majorelle" and a musical experimenter. The disc presents eleven full-length compositions created by different musical projects.
The tracks in the collection fully reflect the modern music scene’s understanding of what deep minimal, micro-house, click`n`cuts, techno, dub are. Among the musicians hiding under various creative pseudonyms, B-Voice, FeelGood, Stankov, Cast and others are known to Russian listeners.
You won't hear anything definitely dancefloor-friendly on this disc; its mood and melody dictate a different atmosphere. The musical composition develops gradually and, after listening to the record from the first to the last track, you get a unique mix. Music entertainers from Russian techno and beyond are very interestingly illustrated by the parties of the same name that DJ Stankov holds in the Majorelle Garden. Artists who have been released everywhere from the German “Dump Unite” to Kubik’s “pro-tez”, who once performed at “Instance” and on the same stage with Apparat and M-ziq, friends of deepmix.ru, united by the idea of ​​​​promoting such music, present their work on the oldest electronic music label in Russia. Oleg Ostrov called Illusion Noises a kind of continuation of the MTV summer screensavers of the 2004 season, which Stankov made. Stylistics barely perceptible in four-second television jingles are now revealed to the listener on a record more than an hour long. The compilation will not seem boring to an inexperienced listener, but will also pleasantly surprise lovers of more subtle music. Until recently, fans of this sound could only be pleased with rare releases by Anton Kubikov, because there are not many musicians working in this genre on the Russian stage. But SCSI-9 is not the only one that is alive in Russian minimal-deep. Illusion noises will tell you about the rest.
