Faces And Laces Exhibition

From April 18 to 19, for the second time, an interactive exhibition project dedicated to contemporary street fashion and visual communication 'Faces And Laces' will take place at the 'Arsenal' art site. Since the first exhibition, much has changed for the better - good street fashion blogs have appeared, thematic publications in Russian, and a large number of interesting articles. In Moscow, you can now easily purchase previously unseen clothing brands and rare limited edition sneaker models that just two years ago were only seen on Western store websites and blogs. The audience has become more selective and knowledgeable about current streetwear culture. And the Faces And Laces project has become slightly more extensive and has moved away from the gallery format. Brands and streetwear stores are already brainstorming concepts for their stands. The goal of the exhibition participants is to present themselves not just as a showroom or a banal stand, but as an art object or installation. The main focus is on creating a new format and a new foundation for communication between people who sincerely love what they do, represent various youth subcultures, where interests in sneaker and streetwear themes, graffiti and street art, vinyl and designer toys, graphic design, and illustration intersect. One of the main parts of the project is an exclusive exhibition of cult sports footwear models - sneakers - with designs and customization by Russian designers, illustrators, and artists who actively fall under the definition of 'street influence.' Installations and photo documentation based on these works will also be presented. The main customized models are Nike Dunk, Air Force 1 and Air Max (1 and 90).
