In the distant 1986, Jeff Milligan discovered electronic music at the age of 14. By listening to alternative radio stations in Chicago, Detroit, and Toronto, he made a firm decision to dedicate himself to music. The music he plays has both American and European roots - the most experimental, minimalist sound from two continents, something that is attributed to a unique Canadian sound. His skilled performances on 4 turntables and special mixing techniques have solidified his reputation as one of the most talented DJs in the world. As a musician and electronic composer, Jeff is equally known. He has released on labels such as 240 Volts, BipHop, Tongut, Transmediale, Background, NextDoor, Onitor, Mutek, Sublime, Moorroom, Traum, Force Lab / Force Inc., Revolver, FoundSound, E.R.A., Tone, Blue, Silver, +8, Switch, and the legendary Serotonin. His legendary project 'Composure,' released on the Force Inc. label in Germany, featured influential musicians like Farben, Matmos, Kid 606, Sutekh, Twerk, Safety Scissors, and Donacha Costello. For releases on his own label Revolver, Jeff selects the most interesting and uncompromising musicians who have their unique approach to sound: Akufen, The Mole, Mike Shannon, Deadbeat, Tomas Jirku, Pan/tone, Kitchener's, Jay Hunsberger. Revolver is widely known around the world and can confidently be called one of the most influential Canadian labels.
