Low Budget Family Performance

Low Budget Family is a group of DJs consisting of Loser, One Dollar, Eurohach, Hotdog, E.Baka, and Sestra. All project members, except for One Dollar, are not professional DJs. They do not DJ to make a living but rather as a fun and enjoyable activity for themselves and others. Each member has been collecting and playing music for friends for some time. The idea of collectively enjoying favorite tracks in a public space, the LBF parties, came to fruition in September 2007 at Denis Simachev Bar.
LBF does not adhere to a strict musical direction common in DJ communities but instead adopts a mocking attitude towards fans of trendy music, stylish parties, and fashionable clubs. The amusing nicknames of the LBF members do not directly convey anything but rather subtly mock each individual, creating a diverse 'low-budget family' overall.
The 6 members of LBF are as follows:
- DJ Loser, Denis Simachev's designer, always plays everywhere, hoping for understanding. A heavy drinker.
- DJ One Dollar, Oranzh, art director of Denis Simachev Bar, loves playing 'sure bets' repetitively. Does not drink.
- DJ Hotdog, photographer Alexey Kiselev, spins rock and disco only on 7'' records, loves 70s porn.
- DJ Eurohach, architect Khoren Morozov, plays vintage funk released no later than the mid-80s. Reclusive, aloof.
- E.Baka, prominent businessman Evgeny Bakaev, plays unprincipled bar house, married.
- DJ Sestra, Maria Pirumova, Japan expert, promoter, Andrei Pirumov's sister. Plays funk for the girls. A girl.
LBF have performed DJ sets at clubs in Moscow (Solyanka, Justo Bain-Douche, Shop&Bar Denis Simachev, Ducatti Club), Miami (Miami Art Basel: Russian Party, Visionaire Party), Courchevel (Russian Christmas Party), Milan (Denis Simachev fw'08-09 fashion show afterparty), Kiev (Barskiy Club), Odessa (Otrada Beach Club), Yekaterinburg (Pushkin Bar&Basement), Kazan (Hermitage Club), and more.
