From the classic garage-style hit 'Rip Groove' and the equally popular 'Sirens/We All Love Sax', to his latest explosive hit inspired by Latin style 'It Just Won't Do', Tim Deluxe's works have finally become known for their quality, uniqueness, in short, for making people move. Tim grew up in North London. At the age of 14, he got a Saturday job at Time Is Right Records, quickly gaining experience and by 18 was already assisting CJ Mackintosh. In 1994, still working at Time Is Right Records, Tim met graphic designer Omar Amidora and the owner of the hardcore label Boogie Beat, Andy Lysandrou. Fueled by musical enthusiasm, the three decided to expand the existing label's possibilities. They named it Ice Cream Records, and everything released on it bore the influence of speed garage - 'RIP Groove', a result of Tim and Omar's collaboration released under the alias Double 99, became the most successful release of 1997. From 1995 to 1998, Tim also released 'An American Adventure EP' and 'I Know' on Cross Section Records - a small tribute to Derrick May, Norman Jay, CJ Mackintosh, Erick Morillo and Darren Emerson. Working at the label, in 1999-2000 Tim and Omar recorded the album '7th High', featuring collaborations with Sneaker Pimps and Byron Stingily. Tim has also produced countless remixes for Black Grape, Robert Miles, Mighty Dub Katz, and Ultra Nate. In 2001, Tim embarked on a solo career, aiming to develop his individual sound. His first track 'Sirens' was immediately picked up by Darren Emerson (by this point they had already worked together a couple of times) for his Underwater compilation — these releases are known for showcasing the best of tech-funk style. On the other hand, 'We All Love Sax', one of Tim's early works, was pulled out of the archives and refined in the studio. It made the Essential New Tune lists and was hailed as the best remix of 2001 by each magazine and radio station related to DJ music. Tim was especially highlighted - not only as an artist but as a DJ. In 2002, Tim's solo single with vocalist Sam Obernik - 'It Just Won't Do' - literally exploded dancefloors worldwide. Starting in Miami, where it was named the Greatest (number 1 on the Miami Buzz Chart and number 1 in Muzik Miami Tune). This single quickly found its place in the DJ booths of leading DJs worldwide across all genres — from Tong to Morillo and Cook, receiving radio support from Steve Mac, Jo Whiley, Nemone, Gilles Peterson, and Sarah Cox (who named it the track of the week). First premiering in Ibiza, on July 8 it was released on Underwater. It was the first release on the new Underwater project - Episode One. Many world superstars trust Tim to remix their works. In his arsenal are works with Kylie's 'Can't Get You Out of My Head', Lo-fidelity Allstars' 'Sleeping Faster', Joeski and Chus' 'El Amor' (on NRK), as well as a remix of Layo and Bushwacka's 'Love Story' - one of the most played tracks of the summer of 2002, and an undisputed hit of the same period - the work on Basement Jaxx's 'Do You Thing'. Tim continues to perform as a DJ, touring not only in the UK but also beyond its borders. In 2002, he was named the exclusive resident at Subliminal/Underwater parties in Ibiza. His sound - rhythmic, soft, and penetrating, with elements of techno, but above all explosive and full of energy, recognizable everywhere, and unique by anyone.
