The Global Dance Music Industry Is Making History. You are here to make History. For the first time, the club community from all over the world will work together to raise money for charities and mercy. Enthusiasm, Energy, and Creative Potential will cover the planet with a series of private parties, big raves, and special television programs, all proceeds of which will be directed to children's charitable funds. All media related to Dance Music support World DJ Day with their ideas and attention to make this event a significant date in the history of Dance Music. World DJ Day is an effort aimed at global fundraising to bring maximum benefit to children around the world. From March 2nd to 9th, 2002, thousands of DJs, promoters, clubs, magazines, radio stations, and record labels will be involved in fundraising to help children. This exciting idea will become an annual event and may become one of the most important dates on the Dance Music calendar. This week will be a unique phenomenon when the entire industry will work towards a common goal. We would like everyone to bring their ideas. Together we can significantly change the lives of children around the world, using your Generosity, Dedication, and Ambition. The event is under the patronage of the biggest names in dance music: Pete Tong, Danny Tenaglia, Sasha, Dave Seaman, Paul Oakenfold, Paul Van Dyk, Carl Cox, Seb Fontaine, Sister Bliss, and many others. Thousands of enthusiasts have assured World DJ Day of their unconditional support and promised that they will do everything in their power to make this initiative truly significant. For the first time in Dance Music history, the industry will be united on such a national and global scale. International support for the upcoming event has been provided by magazines Mixer, MixMag, and Muzik. World-renowned clubs such as Godskitchen, Cream, Slinky, Gatecrasher, Heaven, Turnmills, Fabric, and Spundae have joined the campaign. Radio stations and TV channels BBC One (UK), TMF (Holland), MTV UK, Metrodance (Argentina), Grooveradio (USA), DMC (Australia), and many others around the world are united for a single purpose. On March 7, 2002, they will be playing all night at Gorod club to use their powers and talents to help children. In agreement with the club, not only the DJs' entire fee but also all box office proceeds on that day will be transferred to one of the orphanages.
