XIII opens the club season with the Marquis De Sade Freak Show performance, a theatrical show based on the immoral-philosophical novels of the freethinker, aesthete, and libertine Marquis De Sade. A prominent figure of the late 18th century, a fiery revolutionary and inventive libertine, De Sade directed all his explosive energy towards combating false morality. The Marquis anticipated the works of many modern philosophers, advocating the liberation of the mind through the freedom of the flesh. XIII continues the Marquis's explorations and invites its guests to the castle of De Sade, where the host throws a special ball on these nights.
